Job Description

As we move forward with the growth and expansion of Commercial Roof & Wall within Shelter Solutions, the Regional Sales Manager will be an instrumental part of the strategic planning and implementation.  Extending the market share for MBCI within the Commercial Roof & Wall segment will account for the largest percentage of growth over the next three years.  

This role will be based and travel within the western U.S.

Scope

  • Manages Team of ten - twelve sales managers across large geographic region
  • Responsible for $50M - $75M with objectives to expand the portfolio by 2 - 3X in three years

Responsibilities

  • Establish sales targets to meet company objectives 
  • Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization
  • This key leader will partner with business development to extract maximum value from project specifications to drive increased close ratios and margin expansion
  • Their collaboration with cross-functional leaders will be a critical success factor in driving a coordinated go-to-market strategy for all commercial roof, wall, and associated product solutions

Essential Functions

  • Develops annual sales plan in support of MBCI organization strategy and objectives
  • Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices
  • Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with marketing
  • Coordinate growth strategies with Business Development to expand market share for metal roof and wall on all types of building projects
  • Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses
  • Capable of leading integration initiatives to support aggressive M&A strategy
  • Create a sales culture where exceptional customer service is the standard
  • Drive sales performance through acquisition and development of exceptional talent
  • Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field is required
  • 5 years of demonstrated sales experience in building materials 
  • 5 or more years in sales leadership role to include executive level work experience is required
  • Strong knowledge and experience in technical oriented product selling
  • Equivalent experience in a similar industry or product field is preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills including ability to lead successfully in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches
  • Proven track record of leading teams to execute on strategy and deliver superior results
  • Remote office location is acceptable with regular travel expected to support the business

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $160,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
