Southern Lumber & Millwork is a third-generation, family-owned and operated building materials supplier serving custom residential builders, contractors, architects, and homeowners throughout Charleston and the South Carolina Lowcountry.
We specialize in premium windows, doors, lumber, custom millwork, and building materials. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Window & Door Service Technician to join our Service Team.

About the Role
As a Window & Door Service Technician, you will travel to residential homes and job sites in a company vehicle in and around the Charleston, SC area to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service residential windows and doors purchased from Southern Lumber.
You will work closely with homeowners, builders, manufacturers, and our internal team to identify solutions, order replacement parts, complete repairs, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
This position includes ongoing product and technical training from industry-leading manufacturers including Marvin, Andersen, and Euro-Wall.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot residential window and door performance issues
  • Perform service repairs, adjustments, and warranty work on windows and doors
  • Create and manage service work orders
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and contractors
  • Work with manufacturer technical support teams when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area
  • Deliver the Southern Difference through exceptional customer service
Preferred Experience
  • Window and door service experience
  • Residential construction, carpentry, finish carpentry, or service technician experience
  • Experience creating and managing work orders
  • Ability to assess window and door functionality and performance issues
