What is remote video monitoring?

A Remote Video Monitoring job involves overseeing live security camera feeds to detect and report suspicious activities in real time. Operators typically work from a remote location, monitoring footage for businesses, construction sites, or residential properties. They may need to take immediate action by notifying authorities or clients of potential threats. Strong attention to detail and quick decision-making skills are essential in this role.

What does a remote video monitoring specialist do?

A typical day as a Remote Video Monitoring professional involves actively observing live or recorded video feeds from multiple sites, responding to suspicious activities or incidents, and documenting all noteworthy events. You may interact with on-site teams, law enforcement, or emergency responders, depending on the situation. Most shifts are spent at a computer workstation in a quiet, secure environment, and teamwork is often required to coordinate coverage during high-alert periods. This role offers opportunities to learn new surveillance technologies, and experienced monitors can transition into supervisory or training roles as their careers progress.

What skills and qualifications are needed for remote video monitoring?

To excel in Remote Video Monitoring, strong attention to detail, vigilance, and basic technical proficiency are essential, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with security camera software, alarm systems, and video management platforms such as Milestone or Genetec is usually required, with additional certifications in security or surveillance being beneficial. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and a calm demeanor under pressure set top candidates apart. These competencies are crucial for accurately identifying potential security risks and ensuring swift, effective responses in real-time situations.

In this fully remote role, you will provide essential counseling services to a diverse population of clients, contributing to their mental well-being from the comfort of your home. We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus for new team members.

About the Organization

Mindful Health Mental Healthcare Pte. Ltd is committed to delivering high-quality mental health services through a compassionate and inclusive approach. Our organization values integrity, accessibility, and the use of evidence-based modalities in therapy. As part of our mission, we actively recruit a diverse range of licensed mental health professionals, including those with credentials such as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), to meet the unique needs of our client population.

Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing you to create a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle. You will engage in counseling sessions via secure video chat, providing support to clients in a familiar and comfortable environment. Our outpatient office model ensures that you have access to a supportive network of therapists and administrative staff while managing your own flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting ethical and compassionate individual counseling sessions through video conferencing platforms, ensuring adherence to best practices and confidentiality standards.
  • Utilizing solution-focused and trauma-informed treatment modalities to tailor your approach to each individual client.
  • Developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs, goals, and concerns of each client.
  • Facilitating insights for clients regarding their thoughts, feelings, and interpersonal relationships to promote self-awareness and personal growth.
  • Monitoring client progress consistently throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary, and assisting clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with stable, low acuity adults who present a wide spectrum of mental health needs. Our clients seek support for issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Your expertise will directly impact their journey towards improved mental health and quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a counseling-related discipline (Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology).
  • A current, state-issued mental health counseling license to practice independently. Eligible licenses include:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
    • Psychologist (PsyD)
  • No limited or provisional licenses; no disciplinary actions against your license.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate disposition.
  • Strong computer literacy and technical proficiency to navigate video conferencing tools and maintain records.
  • A reliable internet connection and a computer equipped with webcam and audio capabilities for virtual sessions.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred applicants will have experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities. Prior experience in a remote counseling setting can be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

Alongside a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 104,000, we offer an attractive sign-on bonus for new hires, a flexible schedule, and a fully supportive work environment. Additional benefits include:

  • Access to a state-of-the-art counselor portal designed to streamline your administrative tasks and patient management.
  • Unlimited referrals based on your specialization, alleviating the need for you to seek out new clients independently.
  • Minimal paperwork, allowing you to focus on client care rather than administrative burdens.
  • Prompt establishment of a full clinical caseload typically within weeks, ensuring a full workload after onboarding.
  • Ongoing support, including live assistance for both your counseling practices and personal professional development.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Mindful Health, we are dedicated to fostering the professional growth of our team members. We provide opportunities for continued education, training in new therapeutic methodologies, and avenues for advancement within our organization. As a part of our network, you'll have the chance to expand your professional skills and expertise in an encouraging environment.
