Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting ethical and compassionate individual counseling sessions through video conferencing platforms, ensuring adherence to best practices and confidentiality standards.
• Utilizing solution-focused and trauma-informed treatment modalities to tailor your approach to each individual client.
• Developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs, goals, and concerns of each client.
• Facilitating insights for clients regarding their thoughts, feelings, and interpersonal relationships to promote self-awareness and personal growth.
• Monitoring client progress consistently throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary, and assisting clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with stable, low acuity adults who present a wide spectrum of mental health needs. Our clients seek support for issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Your expertise will directly impact their journey towards improved mental health and quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in a counseling-related discipline (Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology).
• A current, state-issued mental health counseling license to practice independently. Eligible licenses include:
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
• Psychologist (PsyD)
• No limited or provisional licenses; no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate disposition.
• Strong computer literacy and technical proficiency to navigate video conferencing tools and maintain records.
• A reliable internet connection and a computer equipped with webcam and audio capabilities for virtual sessions.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred applicants will have experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities. Prior experience in a remote counseling setting can be beneficial.
