Key Responsibilities
  • Group Therapy: Lead engaging group sessions that foster connection among clients. Facilitate discussions that allow participants to share experiences, build camaraderie, and learn from one another in a supportive environment.
  • Individual Therapy: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions tailored to each clientโ€™s unique circumstances. Utilize evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to help clients articulate their feelings, understand their behaviors, and develop effective coping strategies.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate closely with clients to establish individualized treatment plans. Set measurable goals in line with their personal aspirations and challenges, ensuring a client-centered approach to their mental health journey.
  • Progress Monitoring: Continuously assess and document client progress through the use of established therapeutic metrics and feedback mechanisms. Regularly adjust treatment plans based on these insights to align with evolving client needs.
  • Collaboration: Work synergistically with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and medical staff. Participate in team meetings, share insights on complex cases, and coordinate care strategies to ensure comprehensive treatment pathways.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults facing mental health and mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. You will play a vital role in helping them navigate their challenges, promoting resilience and self-advocacy as they work towards recovery.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in a relevant field such as counseling, psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
  • Valid License as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing mental health treatment, particularly within outpatient or community health clinic settings.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a commitment to working as part of a dynamic team devoted to enhancing mental healthcare.
  • Strong clinical skills, particularly in evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of culturally responsive practices.
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and experience managing complex clinical cases.

Compensation and Benefits
