This is a hybrid position with a combination of onsite and remote days per week.
HOURS: Primarily Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with other hours as needed.
Promotes and provides strategic, recruitment services within Talent Acquisition for Carilion Clinic. Ensures timely, accurate and consistent information is delivered with regard to projects and broader initiatives. Maintains a broad knowledge of all HR areas and activities, while demonstrating strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, creative sourcing, and use of social media, professional networks and implementation of strategic recruitment plans. Will serve as a role model/mentor and valued resource to other team members. Healthcare recruiting experience, Workday, and experience in high-volume recruitment a plus.
The HR Consultant
  • To serve as an administrator and consultant for our talent management system in support of Carilion's training, performance, compliance, and succession planning needs.
  • Serves as a consultant to HR and the entire organization for ourtalent management system.
  • Develops and implement an overall talent management strategy in collaboration with HR partners.
  • Manages annual performance evaluation process, including self and peer reviews.
  • Administrate a learning management system, including both instructor-led and online training, in support of our training department.
  • Provides reporting and analysis to aid in decision making.
  • Analyzes quarterly talent management system releases and make recommendations on new features and configurations in support of our talent strategy.
  • Supports the talent management system and troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues.
  • Track competency and certification requirements for clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • The HR Consultant - N/E
  • Promotes and provides strategic, consultative services within areas of expertise for all levels of employees, departments and business units. Ensures timely, accurate and consistent information is delivered with regard to projects and broader initiatives. Maintains a broad knowledge of all HR areas and activities, while specializing with advanced knowledge in one or two specific HR functions. Develops and mentors roles with in their department or other HR areas. Will serve as a role model/mentor.
  • Content Expertise. Continuously develops advanced knowledge in designated Center of Expertise, as well as maintains a thorough working knowledge of other HR areas, HR initiatives and broader organizational priorities. Participates on multi-disciplinary teams as a resource and expert in COE field.
  • Project Management. Participates on, and may lead, larger scope combined tactical/strategic projects. Monitors content and timelines; works to ensure key deadlines and needs are met using collaborative processes.
  • Product/Service Development. Produces products and services that are tailored to the specific needs of the situation, using advanced expertise to align with overall organizational goals/objectives and strategy. Continuously focuses on process improvement and proactively presenting solutions. Serves as primary contact for vendors and/or leadership.
  • Consulting. Participates in more complex consulting processes during all interactions and assists HR peers in understanding and utilization. Continually anticipates needs and uses the consulting process to develop collaborative solutions, evaluate outcomes and take corrective actions, if necessary.
  • Business Management. Develops, maintains and nurtures working relationships with other COEs, HR Operations, HR Business Partners, colleagues and external customers/vendors. Generates alliances that promote effective relationships and outcomes. Maintains a focus on the strategic, critical needs of the COE, HR and overall organization.
  • Culture/Change Agents. Serves as a culture and change management champion. Gains support of key stakeholders by educating them on issues and practices, and how they align with overall organizational objectives.
What We Require:
Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with 3 years in specialized area of Human Resources.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: None required. Life Support: None required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Well-developed interpersonal and written and oral communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines. Must be organized, able to research and analyze information in order to make appropriate decisions.

Compensation Range:
$57,616.00 - $86,424.00
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
