Benefits Coordinator
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Benefits Coordinator to support the successful implementation and ongoing administration of large group benefit programs. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while collaborating across teams to deliver exceptional experiences for internal stakeholders, brokers, and employer groups. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, healthcare industry knowledge, and a proactive approach to solving problems and ensuring operational excellence.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Idaho.

Benefits Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the onboarding and renewal process for large employer benefit groups, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of coverage and related documentation.
  • Review benefit plans, contracts, eligibility information, and supporting materials to assist with quote preparation and benefit administration activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between sales, underwriting, membership, claims, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth execution of group initiatives.
  • Monitor project timelines, track progress from initiation through completion, and resolve issues to ensure deadlines and service expectations are met.
  • Provide operational support by addressing questions related to eligibility, billing, benefit changes, compliance updates, and system processes.

Benefits Coordinator Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • One to two years of progressive experience in healthcare, benefits administration, sales support, claims, membership, customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in health insurance, employee benefits administration, brokerage operations, or a related healthcare environment.
  • Working knowledge of large group health plans, insurance terminology, and benefit administration processes.
  • Strong customer service, verbal communication, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize complex information, and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business systems; experience leveraging technology and AI tools to improve efficiency is highly desirable.

Compensation: $27-$30/hr. (DOE)
