Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate individual patient needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic support groups to cultivate a sense of community and address common mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure continuous, coordinated care for patients and to discuss treatment updates.
• Provide crisis intervention support and mental health emergency services when necessary, ensuring patient safety and immediate care.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources available for their benefit.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and assessments in compliance with legal and ethical standards while leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and stay informed of the latest research and developments within the mental health field to enhance therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough mental health evaluations and create effective treatment strategies.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy to a wide range of populations.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills essential for building rapport with clients.
• Commitment to professional ethics and boundaries, along with sound clinical judgment.
• Proficient familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
