Position Overview

Union Counseling Center is seeking dedicated and passionate mental health therapists to join our team as full-time practitioners delivering remote therapy services. The ideal candidates will hold valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland and will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health support to individuals, couples, and families facing a range of psychological challenges.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide care to patients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a work-life balance. Therapists work within a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. The administration team supports therapists in managing their schedules efficiently to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to identify the needs and conditions of patients, using standardized tools and clinical interviews to establish a thorough understanding of patient backgrounds.
  • Create individualized treatment plans leveraging evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
  • Provide virtual therapy sessions to individuals and families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment that fosters open dialogue and trust.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, enhancing community support among patients facing similar challenges, thereby promoting co-learning and personal development.
  • Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to deliver integrated care that holistically addresses patient needs.
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care.
