This position is designed for a fully remote work setting, utilizing telehealth technologies to deliver effective therapy sessions to clients. • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's trauma history, emotional needs, and potential treatment options.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery, emotional resilience, and coping skills.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate client healing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions tailored to support patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, and other health professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies to enhance patient safety and stabilization.
• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to assist in their support system.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation while adhering to all legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to deepen your understanding of trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve patient outcomes.

You will primarily work with clients who have experienced trauma, including those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of the psychological impact of trauma and a commitment to providing empathetic and effective care tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in mental health counseling.
• Thorough knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Proven ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, marked by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Capability to maintain composure during high-stress situations and provide effective crisis management.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general proficiency with computer applications.
• Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting, contributing to a cohesive treatment environment.

While 2 years of experience post-licensure is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma therapy, crisis intervention, and group therapy facilitation will be given preference. Familiarity with a range of evidence-based therapeutic methods and a commitment to ongoing professional development are highly valued.
