About the Organization

Contemporary Trauma Mental Clinic is a community health clinic located in breathtaking Fremont, California, specializing in trauma-informed mental health services. Our mission revolves around creating a safe and nurturing environment for individuals who have experienced trauma, including management of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We believe in the power of healing and resilience, aiming to empower our clients with therapeutic tools for improved mental health.

Work Environment

This role offers a flexible remote work setting, enabling therapists to provide care from the comfort of their homes while adhering to our structured framework for trauma therapy. Our clinic fosters a professional, supportive atmosphere that encourages collaboration and collective learning among team members. Regular team meetings and professional development activities are designed to enhance both individual and team capabilities, ensuring that every therapist is well-equipped to support their clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the history and present needs of clients seeking help.
  • Develop and implement tailored recovery plans that focus on resilience-building and utilizing evidence-based treatments such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, teaching clients effective coping mechanisms and processing techniques.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to establish an integrated treatment approach, ensuring holistic care for clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and acute support for clients facing trauma-related emergencies, addressing immediate needs effectively.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.
  • Maintain accuracy in documentation and case notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Engage in case consultations and participate actively in team meetings to discuss treatment progress and share best practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest research in trauma therapy and integrate innovative techniques into the therapeutic process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is predominantly on clients who have undergone traumatic experiences, including but not limited to those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma syndromes, and dissociative disorders. As a therapist in our clinic, you will work closely with individuals seeking to reclaim their lives and reshape their narratives in a supportive, strength-based environment.

Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctorate degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Proven ability to engage with trauma-related disorders and knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably with a focus on trauma therapy.
  • Demonstrated experience with trauma-focused interventions and practices.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 per year, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the candidate. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Robust healthcare benefits.
  • A retirement savings plan with company-matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday pay to ensure work-life balance.
  • Ongoing education and professional development opportunities tailored to your growth.

As part of our team, youโ€™ll have the potential to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care and gain further qualifications through our targeted development programs.
