Position Overview

Spring Mountain Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position allows you to work remotely while providing essential mental health services to individuals in need, particularly those affected by trauma. With a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, this role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

Our outpatient office specializes in treating a range of trauma-related conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our team fosters a safe and supportive environment for clients, ensuring they feel empowered on their journey toward healing and recovery.

Work Environment

This role offers a unique remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that all staff members remain actively engaged with our clients and the broader therapeutic community. Our team operates Monday through Friday, with standard hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, some flexibility in scheduling may be required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and identify personalized treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and building resilience in clients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective therapy sessions.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting healing.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, while informing them about additional resources available to aid in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, contributing to our comprehensive understanding of best practices in trauma care.
• Engage in case consultations and participate in professional development opportunities focused on enhancing knowledge in trauma-informed care.
• Stay current with innovations in the field of trauma therapy to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, whether due to significant life events, chronic stress, or specific situational factors. As a licensed mental health counselor at Spring Mountain Counseling Services, you will become a vital part of our clients' recovery journeys, assisting them to overcome challenges related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in utilizing related computer applications.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health setting, particularly with trauma-involved clients.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions successfully.
• Deep understanding of resilience-building techniques and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
