What we need
Exol is seeking a dynamic, execution-oriented Transportation Manager to oversee daily logistics operations and drive continuous improvement across our transportation network. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Transportation, you will be the bridge between high-level strategy and tactical execution. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses deep analytical skills, and can seamlessly manage both a private fleet and third-party carrier relationships. You will be responsible for executing lane optimization, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting driver retention, and managing daily cost efficiencies.

What you'll do
Operational Leadership
  • Lead daily transportation operations, ensuring service commitments are met and performance standards are achieved.
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, shipment execution, and exception management.
  • Drive operational consistency, process adherence, and issue resolution across the network.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing transportation teams.
  • Establish clear goals, accountability, and a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor team members to support professional growth and business success.

Customer Experience & Business Growth
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Resolve service issues, support customer implementations, and participate in business reviews.
  • Partner with commercial and cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities and scale operations.

Retailer Consolidation Leadership
  • Lead transportation operations supporting Retailer Consolidation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer requirements while driving execution excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop scalable solutions to support network complexity and customer growth.

Process Excellence & Systems
  • Drive adoption and optimization of transportation systems, including TMS platforms.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Standardize workflows to improve efficiency, visibility, and operational performance.

Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to transportation regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
  • Partner with Safety, Legal, and Compliance teams to mitigate risk and support audits.

Financial & Performance Management
  • Monitor KPIs, service levels, and operational performance.
  • Support budgeting, cost control, and productivity initiatives.
  • Drive efficiency improvements that contribute to profitability and business objectives.

What you'll need
  • Minimum 8 years of transportation, logistics, brokerage, carrier management, distribution, or supply chain experience.
  • Previous experience leading transportation teams and supervising frontline employees.
  • Demonstrated experience building, developing, and scaling teams.
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations and execution.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and service performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments.

Preferred Experience
  • Significant experience supporting Retailer Consolidation programs or similar multi-stop distribution networks.
  • Strong understanding of retailer appointment requirements and expectations.
  • Experience coordinating multi-stop deliveries across multiple locations and customers.
  • Experience supporting new customer implementations and operational launches.

Our Environment
  • Up to 25% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
