Job description

Must have skill: Strong Time Series forecasting, ML, deep learning and standard statistical methods to evaluate models. Experience working on supply chain projects.
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, analytical problem solver who enjoys diving into data, developing algorithms, and interfacing between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement advanced machine learning algorithms for time series forecasting.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis using Python, SQL, and other tools.
- Develop and deploy deep learning models to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and other scientists.
- Communicate findings and insights through data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in demand forecasting and machine learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with time series forecasting techniques (e.g., Prophet, ARIMA, Holt-Winters, neural networks).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms like GCP.
- Previous experience in demand forecasting or related fields.
Note: We want to find people with strong Time Series forecasting, ML, deep learning (we want to explore neural networks as well), and standard statistical methods to evaluate models. For the Time Series, we look for someone who understands advanced time series forecasting techniques not just experience with ARIMA models.
We want someone who has worked in CPG industry and worked on demand planning for fast moving goods. This means the person should have experience working on supply chain projects.

Thanks and Regards
