JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Sales Executive plays a key role in driving revenue growth by building relationships and closing new business with small and mid-sized clients. This role delivers tailored financial technology solutions, including payments, payroll, and HCM, through proactive, field-based outreach within the local market. The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for developing a pipeline, achieving performance-based sales outcomes, understanding each client’s needs, and guiding opportunities through the full sales cycle to close.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with small and mid-sized business owners to identify needs and present tailored payment and financial technology solutions, including in-store, online, mobile, and invoicing options
  • Prospect new clients through proactive outreach within the local market, including field-based and virtual engagement
  • Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline using company-provided CRM tools, ensuring consistent follow-up and progression of opportunities
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract execution
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, and local market outreach
  • Collaborate with leadership and peers to refine sales strategies and improve overall performance
  • Drive consistent sales activity and results aligned with performance expectations
  • Meet or exceed established monthly production and revenue targets
  • Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and industry trends
  • Participate in one and one check-ins and weekly team meetings as needed to support performance


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a performance-driven environment
  • Actively generate new business through boots-on-the-ground prospecting, in-person visits, and relationship-building with local businesses.
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Strong Google Suite Skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage time and workload independently to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Resilience and persistence, with the ability to navigate rejection while maintaining consistent prospecting activity
  • Because we serve a diverse range of communities and businesses, bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus, but not required.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience (B2B, B2C, or related field) preferred
  • Prior experience in payroll, payments, or financial services is preferred but not required


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Independent contractor role with a high degree of autonomy
  • Performance is measured by sales activity, pipeline development, and closed business
  • Requires a combination of remote work and in-person client interaction
  • Contractor determines schedule and level of effort required to meet performance goals


COMPENSATION:

  • This is a 1099 independent contractor role.
  • Compensation is 100% commission-based; earnings are uncapped and directly tied to performance.
  • Upfront commission paid on closed deals
  • Ongoing monthly residual income, subject to performance expectations, active status, and applicable vesting requirements, and not guaranteed
  • Effective full-time sellers are exceeding $300K annually
