Job description

Position Summary
You will lead the technical and functional development, implementation, and migration efforts for our workforce management system using the UKG (formerly Kronos) suite. This includes migrating from legacy Kronos systems to UKG Pro / UKG Dimensions, configuring modules (Timekeeping, Scheduling, Attendance, Devices, etc.), developing integrations, data conversion, and providing post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of UKG/Kronos modules: discovery, requirements gathering, design, configuration, data migration, testing, deployment, and training.
  • Develop and maintain technical artefacts: functional and technical specifications, data mapping, conversion scripts, interface/integration documentation.
  • Perform data migration from legacy systems (Kronos WFC, legacy Time & Attendance) into UKG - design transformation logic, validate data, manage cut-over activities.
  • Configure complex time and labor rules: pay rules, work rules, accruals/absences, scheduling, labor transfers, exception management, holiday profiles.
  • Build integrations/interfaces between UKG and other systems (HRIS, payroll, ERP) using tools such as APIs, middleware (e.g., Dell Boomi), flat-file transformations, encryption/decryption processes.
  • Support device implementation (clock terminals, badge readers, biometric devices) and their connectivity with UKG systems.
  • Conduct unit, system, integration, UAT (user acceptance testing) and assist with production cut-over.
  • Provide post-go-live support: resolve production issues, optimize configurations, recommend enhancements.
  • Partner with stakeholders (HR, Payroll, TA, Operations) to ensure the solution meets business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to project management: work plans, status reporting, risk/issues, change control.

Qualifications / Skills
Essential:
  • 6-10 years (or more) experience in UKG (or Kronos) implementation, migration or development roles. e.g., migrating from Kronos WFC to UKG Pro / Dimensions. jobs.nvoids.com
  • Proficient in UKG/Kronos modules: scheduling, time & attendance, accruals/absences, labor levels, work rules, exception handling. jobs.nvoids.com+1
  • Strong technical skills: SQL programming, data modeling, mapping and conversion logic, encryption/decryption, middleware/integration experience (Dell Boomi preferred). jobs.nvoids.com+1
  • Experience with migration projects including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), system consolidation. Indeed
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills; able to work cross-functionally.
  • Self-driven, able to lead workstreams and deliver in a remote/hybrid model.

Desirable:
  • UKG certifications or training.
  • Experience working in a large enterprise or multi-site manufacturing/plant/distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Experience in device/terminal deployments for workforce systems.
  • Experience with additional UKG platforms (HRIS, Payroll) or adjacent workforce management technologies.
