Position: Public Policy Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50–$60/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 15–20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Work asynchronously with a team of highly qualified experts across your domain.
  • Craft policy research tasks involving legislative tracking, federal budget data extraction, and regulatory database searches across government portals.
  • Create detailed evaluation rubrics for AI agent performance.
  • Collaborate to inform the future of AI innovation with real-world applicability.
  • Shape high-quality, challenging problems in your domain expertise.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • PhD or Master's in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field from a top US/Canada/UK/New Zealand/Australia university.
  • Experience with government databases (OpenStates, FOIA.gov, OMB, federal agency data portals, Congressional Research Service).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in government, think tanks, policy research, or public sector consulting.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia.

Start Date

  • Early December; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
