Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory: Lead tax planning kickoff calls and quarterly advisory meetings. Design and implement high-impact strategies like cost segregation, 1031 exchanges, and depreciation optimization.
  • Proactive Planning: Review financials to identify missed planning opportunities and advise on entity structuring and compensation optimization.
  • Technical Leadership: Prepare or review complex returns that reflect deep strategic planning rather than just transactional data entry.
  • Firm Scaling: Help strengthen and scale the firm's advisory offerings and elevate the firm’s technical standards.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of public accounting tax experience with a proven background in delivering advisory services, not just compliance is a MUST.
  • Credentials: Active CPA, EA, JD, or LLM in Tax REQUIRED
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of business taxation, pass-through entities, and tax minimization strategies.
  • Communication: Confidence in leading client-facing conversations and translating complex tax laws into actionable business advice.
  • Mindset: You think strategically rather than transactionally and want to be part of building something exceptional.
