Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote telehealth setting, allowing mental health professionals to provide care from anywhere while maintaining a balance between personal and professional responsibilities. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify clients' unique experiences and develop tailored, effective treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and methodologies that align with the cultural and personal contexts of each client, ensuring an inclusive approach to care.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a wide array of mental health concerns, focusing on promoting resilience and overall well-being.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide integrated and coordinated care for our clients.
• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies, ensuring clients receive the immediate help they need.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources that can assist in their recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in case conferences and team meetings to discuss client progress and share insights, further fostering a collaborative team dynamic.
• Participate in ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance personal skills and contribute positively to the practice’s values.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice is dedicated to supporting clients from a rich tapestry of backgrounds, with a strong focus on underserved populations, including ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. You will play a central role in creating inclusive therapy experiences that respect and address the complexities of diverse identities.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• A valid and current license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) to practice mental health counseling in the state of Pennsylvania.
• A solid understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment models with a proven track record of cultural competence in therapy.
• Experience providing both individual and group therapy, employing culturally responsive practices tailored to each client's needs.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, with the capacity to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations.
• Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, vital for establishing rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) software and other relevant computer applications essential for documentation and management.
• A commitment to ethical guidelines, professionalism, confidentiality, and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to collective problem-solving efforts.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in outpatient mental health settings or telehealth services, ideally with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with community resources and support services that benefit mental health care.
• Demonstrated experience in leading workshops or educational sessions around mental health issues, targeting community engagement.

Compensation and Benefits
