Position Overview

The Rockbridge Psychiatric Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote therapeutic team. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental and emotional health, leading to well-informed treatment plans.
  • Engage in individual therapy with clients from diverse backgrounds, targeting a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and trauma.
  • Facilitate couples therapy sessions, assisting clients in enhancing communication efficacy, resolving conflicts, and building stronger relationships.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in consultation with clients, ensuring their specific needs and goals are met.
  • Regularly review and modify treatment strategies to accommodate clients’ progress and evolving needs.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment updates in electronic health record systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care that addresses both mental and physical health.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, supporting clients during acute emotional distress or emergencies.
  • Stay updated on current therapeutic practices, research, and trends to continually enhance service delivery.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure strict confidentiality in all client interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role serves a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults, providing tailored mental health support. Clients may present with a variety of challenges ranging from situational stressors to complex mental health disorders. Your skills in empathy and relational dynamics will help foster therapeutic trust and engagement, essential for promoting positive outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Pennsylvania, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Proficient writing and communication skills, with the ability to learn and utilize electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing individual and couples therapy to a variety of age groups.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents is a significant advantage.
  • Previous exposure to collaborative multidisciplinary practices within mental health settings is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
