Business Development / Capture Manager

Synertex is seeking a highly motivated Capture Manager who is responsible for developing and executing strategies to win business within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Communities. This position requires a highly organized individual with a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and the ability to effectively coordinate with multiple teams across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the strategy, solution development, teaming, developing the pricing strategy, and supporting the identification of key personnel in concert with the talent acquisition team. This position requires a team‑oriented approach where the capture manager acts as a positive and collaborative leader, bringing external partners and internal resources together through the entire capture process, from opportunity identification to contract win.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and capture new opportunities across the DoD and IC.
  • Lead development and implementation of the Capture Plan and Proposal Development encompassing Win Strategy, Price to Win, teaming, cost & investments, etc.
  • Monitor, research, and analyze competitive landscape to create competitive advantages.
  • Ensure that all bids are compliant with customer requirements.
  • Respond to RFIs.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with multiple people within the organization to create successful strategies.
  • Ensure successful transition to project teams upon contract award.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with Federal Contracting requirements (FAR, DFAR, CFR), standards, regulations, and laws.
  • Understanding of the government acquisition processes is critical.
  • Demonstrated skills in deal qualification, development of capture strategy, customer collaboration, teaming, and developing winning proposals.
  • Must thoroughly understand DoD/military culture.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with government, civilian, and contractor audiences of all backgrounds and seniorities.
  • Must be able to independently research contract opportunities using a variety of online sources, outreach to stakeholders, and events.
  • Prior military service or experience directly supporting a Department of Defense customer is highly desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
