Job description

Founded in 2021, Pulsora the "Enterprise Sustainability Platform", is a well-funded Silicon Valley software startup. It is dedicated to empowering purpose-driven enterprises to manage and improve their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and overall sustainability footprint with an integrated, comprehensive, flexible, and innovative technology platform built for compliance, tracking, and insight. We are well funded, have amazing customers across industries and geographies, established strategic partnerships with leading ERP and consulting firms, and are growing fast!
About the RoleWe seek a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and operationalization of AI-powered capabilities across our SAAS Enterprise Sustainability Platform-spanning Sustainability (Environmental, Social, and Governance) regulations, frameworks, and standards.
Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that integrates AI-powered capabilities with sustainability regulations, frameworks, and standards across our Sustainability AI platform.
  • AI Product Direction: Partner with applied AI engineers to scope, design, and ship LLM-powered features (e.g., agent workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent assistants for Sustainability reporting). Translate sustainability use cases into clear AI product specs, evaluation criteria, and success metrics.
  • Vibe Coding & Rapid Prototyping: Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to independently build working prototypes, internal tools, and proof-of-concept AI applications that accelerate discovery, validate ideas with customers, and de-risk engineering investment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving Sustainability regulations, frameworks, and standards at the global, regional, and industry levels, and ensure that our platform remains compliant with relevant requirements.
  • GHG Accounting & Decarbonization: Shape product capabilities for greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, decarbonization target-setting and tracking (e.g., SBTi, CDP), and audit-ready data lineage-ensuring our platform produces calculations and disclosures that hold up to third-party assurance.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of Sustainability frameworks, regulatory trends, and emerging applications of AI in sustainability reporting, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives through blog posts, webinars, and industry events.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as a subject matter expert on sustainability regulations and standards, providing guidance and support to clients during onboarding, training, and ongoing usage of the platform.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather requirements and understand the needs of various user groups related to Sustainability compliance and reporting.
  • Feature Prioritization: Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and release, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and updates.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging sustinability regulations, frameworks, and standards as well as the rapidly evolving landscape of AI tools, models, and frameworks relevant to sustainability software, and assess competitor offerings and industry trends.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and AI evaluation frameworks (quality, accuracy, consistency, failure modes) to measure the success and impact of AI-powered and Sustainability-related features, and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer success, and legal, to ensure alignment and support for Sustainability-related initiatives.

About you
  • Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, computer science, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record (3 years+) in product management, strategy consulting, or Sustainability Analyst roles, with significant experience in sustainability consulting, Sustainability framework advice, regulatory counseling, or related domains.
  • Deep understanding of Sustainability regulations, frameworks, and standards, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, EDCI, CSRD, GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP, and others.
  • Get hands dirty to solve issues such as maintaining the mapping between different standards.
  • Working knowledge of GHG accounting-Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations, the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, emission factor sourcing, and methodologies for activity-based, spend-based, and supplier-specific data.
  • Familiarity with sustainability assurance and audit practices (e.g., ISAE 3000/3410, AA1000AS, limited vs. reasonable assurance) and the data lineage, controls, and documentation customers need to pass third-party audits.
  • Understanding of decarbonization strategy-science-based target setting (SBTi), CDP disclosures, marginal abatement cost curves, scenario analysis, and how companies translate net-zero commitments into operational reduction plans.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted "vibe coding" tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Replit) to build prototypes, internal tools, or working applications-deep AI/ML engineering background is not required, but you should be comfortable shipping real software with the help of AI.
  • Working knowledge of LLM-powered application patterns-prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent workflows, and major LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)-sufficient to credibly guide engineers, scope features, and define evaluation criteria for AI outputs.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity at the intersection of regulated domains and fast-moving AI-making thoughtful trade-offs between accuracy, latency, cost, and compliance risk.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership of opportunities and works well independently, manages multiple simultaneous projects, and deals well with ambiguity and last-minute changes.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, meeting specific deadlines utilizing strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Experience working with a global team, including the ability and willingness to work outside of regular business hours with Pulsora's offshore team in India.
