  • Job Title: Sr. Manager, TCG Global Sustainability
  • Job Summary: The Sr. Manager, TCG Global Sustainability is responsible for defining and leading sustainability strategy, regulatory compliance, and execution exclusively for The Pokémon Company International's Trading Card Game (TCG) business. This role ensures the TCG supply chain meets global sustainability regulations, advances environmental impact reduction initiatives, and integrates data-driven sustainability practices across sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and packaging. This position operates as the TCG sustainability owner, partnering closely with Supply Chain, Legal, Procurement, Manufacturing, Packaging, and external vendors. The role does not set or own enterprise-wide sustainability policy but instead translates company standards and regulatory requirements into the operationally actionable, TCG-specific strategies and programs.

What you’ll do 

  • TCG sustainability Strategy & Leadership
    • Define and lead TCG-specific sustainability strategy aligned with business growth, supply chain resilience, and regulatory requirements.
    • Translate global sustainability expectations and regulatory obligations into TCG-focused priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans.
    • Serve as the primary sustainability subject-matter expert for the TCG organization, advising senior leaders on risk, opportunity, and trade-offs.
    • Own TCG sustainability goal-setting, prioritization, and performance tracking.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure full TCG compliance with global sustainability and environmental regulations, including (but not limited to) packaging, materials, climate disclosure, waste, and extended producer responsibility (ERP) requirements.
    • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and external advisors to monitor evolving regulations and proactively assess TCG impacts.
    • Lead readiness planning, documentation, and response for audits, disclosures, and regulatory reporting affecting the TCG business.
    • Identify compliance risks and mitigation strategies across the TCG supply chain.
  • Sustainable Materials, Packaging & Supply Chain Initiatives
    • Lead identification, evaluation, and implementation of sustainable materials and packaging solutions for TCG products.
    • Develops and execute TCG supply chain sustainability initiatives, including emissions reduction, waste minimization, and responsible sourcing.
    • Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, and vendors to embed sustainability requirements into supplier standards and sourcing decisions.
    • Balance sustainability, cost, scalability, quality, and brand integrity when evaluating alternatives.
  • Data, Analytics & Performance Management
    • Own TCG sustainability data strategy, including measurement, analysis, and reporting of environmental impacts.
    • Leverage large datasets and analytical tools to inform decision‑making, optimization, and continuous improvement.
    • Define and track TCG‑specific sustainability KPIs and progress against internal goals and regulatory requirement.
    • Ensure data integrity and readiness for internal and external reporting needs.
  • People Leadership & Team Development
    • Manage and develop a growing TCG sustainability team, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
    • Define roles, responsibilities, and capability needs to scale sustainability support as the TCG business grows.
    • Foster strong cross‑functional collaboration and influence without direct authority.
  • Cross-Functional & External Engagement
    • Act as the central point of coordination for TCG sustainability initiatives across internal teams and external partners.
    • Support cross‑functional planning and execution related to product launches, supplier onboarding, and operational changes.
    • Represent TCG sustainability internally and externally as needed (e.g., vendors, industry groups, consultants).

What you’ll bring 

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental compliance, supply chain, manufacturing, or related fields, plus 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading sustainability or compliance initiatives within complex global supply chains.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability regulations affecting consumer goods, packaging, or manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into business decisions.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 4 times per year domestically and internationally.

Preferred

  • Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, packaging, or logistics‑heavy industries.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks, lifecycle assessment, or supplier sustainability programs.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Legal, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Product teams.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $129,000.00 - $172,000.00 per year. The full range is $129,000.00 - $233,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
