Job description

AI Red Team Analyst

What if breaking things was your job? We're looking for security-minded professionals to stress-test and harden AI systems before bad actors can exploit them. As an AI Red Team Analyst, you'll probe model guardrails, craft adversarial prompts, and deliver structured findings that directly shape the safety of AI products used by millions of people worldwide.

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of cybersecurity and cutting-edge AI — working with top research labs on problems that genuinely matter.

Organization: Alignerr

Type: Hourly Contract

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design and conduct red-teaming exercises to uncover security weaknesses in AI systems
  • Craft adversarial prompts, jailbreak attempts, and edge-case scenarios to challenge model guardrails
  • Evaluate AI outputs for safety violations, bias, and policy compliance
  • Document vulnerabilities, exploits, and unexpected behaviors in clear, structured reports
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend practical mitigations and improvements
  • Stay sharp on emerging AI security threats, attack techniques, and evolving best practices
  • Help define and refine security evaluation rubrics and testing protocols

Who You Are

  • You have a solid grasp of cybersecurity concepts — threat modeling, penetration testing, or vulnerability research
  • You've worked hands-on with AI/ML systems, large language models (LLMs), or prompt engineering
  • You're a creative, analytical thinker who genuinely enjoys finding what breaks and figuring out why
  • You write clearly and document your findings in a way others can act on
  • You're self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments
  • Familiarity with open-source AI platforms or the OpenClaw ecosystem is a plus
  • A background in infosec, ethical hacking, or AI safety research is a bonus — but not required

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Work on what's next — AI security is one of the fastest-growing and most consequential fields in tech
  • Real impact — your findings directly improve the safety and reliability of AI systems at scale
  • Full autonomy — set your own hours, work from anywhere, and choose your weekly commitment
  • Build rare expertise — develop a specialized skill set that's in high demand across the AI industry
  • Grow with us — strong performers have opportunities for expanded scope and ongoing contracts
  • Collaborate globally — work alongside researchers, engineers, and analysts from around the world
