Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - CT Surgery - Grand Junction, CO

About this role:

As an Advanced Practice Providerin cardiothoracic (CT) surgeryyou will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.

  • You will practice at our CT Surgery Clinic and St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO

  • You will be on a PRN schedule that will be discussed with you upon hire

  • Assist surgeons in performing procedures during surgery

  • Perform Radial Artery and Saphenous vein harvesting

  • Place Foley catheters and invasive lines

  • Discharge Same Day or PACU patients

  • Daily team rounding

  • Clinic responsibilities include new H&P and surgical follow ups

  • Q3 call includes rounding on weekends during call and being first call for the nursing floor

Compensation:Our compensation for PRN is an hourly rate based on years of experience. Your travel and accommodations are reimbursed.

What you'll bring:

  • PA or NP degree from a fully accredited program

  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a First Assist PA or NP required - NO NEW GRADS

  • 1 year experience in CT with proven independence in EVH

  • Active, unobstructed Colorado license, or the ability to obtain one

  • BLS certification and DEA

  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
