Summit Mind Mental Healthcare Center is seeking dedicated Mental Health Counselors for a full-time remote position serving patients in Sacramento, California. As a crucial member of our outpatient psychiatric office, you will engage with a diverse clientele to provide specialized therapy aimed at treating various mental health conditions.

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while connecting with clients in a community health clinic setting. We value flexibility; therefore, some schedule adjustments may be necessary to accommodate patient needs. Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• Perform thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs of each patient and formulate personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique situations.
• Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions using various methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy tailored specifically for individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational support groups designed to foster community among patients grappling with similar mental health challenges.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive patient care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient's well-being are addressed.
• Provide timely crisis intervention services, equipping patients with immediate support during mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients on mental health topics, treatment options, and community resources available to them, enhancing their ability to cope with their conditions.
• Maintain meticulous records through our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development, keeping up with advancements in mental health practices.

You will primarily work with individuals from various backgrounds dealing with a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse. Our clients often seek a compassionate and understanding approach to treatment, emphasizing the need for culturally competent care.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California is essential for this role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health assessment practices and evidence-based therapeutic strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex mental health concepts to clients in an understandable manner.
• Competence in electronic health records (EHR) with attention to detail in documentation.
• A strong commitment to professional ethics and maintaining appropriate boundaries with clients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to shared patient care goals.

• Experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably with outpatient services.
• Proven success in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral systems.
• Participation in continuing education related to mental health or therapy practices.
