Job description

At UNCOMN, we don’t just fix issues; we deliver secure solutions that power essential operations in both the public and private sectors. Our team tackles tough challenges—whether it’s improving organizational systems, streamlining logistics, or making sense of complex data—all with one goal: helping our clients succeed so they can continue serving others.
We’ve built a culture rooted in our Core Values, where innovation thrives, work-life balance is respected, and career growth is always encouraged. We're also proud to be recognized as a ‘Top Workplace,’ and that’s not just us talking; it’s our employees. Now, we’re looking for another Uncommon Genius to join our dynamic team. If you love solving puzzles, building new things, fixing what’s broken, or pushing the boundaries of creativity, we encourage you to explore the details of this position below!

UNCOMN is seeking an EVM Project Scheduler to support Earned Value Management System implementation and ongoing Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) management across programs. This role will help build, maintain, and analyze program schedules in alignment with EIA-748 standards and EVMS best practices.
EVMS Implementation
  • Support EVMS implementation efforts, including schedule–cost integration, WBS alignment, and baseline development
  • Assist in configuring EVMS tools (e.g., ForProject, Empower) and ensuring accurate schedule data integration across systems
  • Contribute to the development of EVMS processes, procedures, and artifacts, including scheduling standards, baseline control, and reporting cadence
  • Support Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) readiness, including schedule traceability, CAM coordination, and data validation
  • Assist in developing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in alignment with EIA-748 and DCMA expectations
  • Partner with EVMS consultants and stakeholders to ensure compliance, scalability, and audit readiness
Project Scheduling amp; EVMS Operations
  • Own and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for assigned programs, ensuring logic-driven sequencing and critical path integrity
  • Coordinate with CAMs and technical teams to collect status updates, maintain baselines, and update forecasts
  • Ensure schedule alignment with WBS, Control Accounts, and Work Packages
  • Support monthly EVMS reporting cycles, including BCWS/BCWP alignment, variance analysis, and performance reporting
  • Perform schedule health assessments using DCMA 14-point analysis and critical path evaluation
  • Identify schedule risks, dependencies, and impacts to cost, staffing, and performance
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Collaborate with CAMs, finance, engineering, and subcontractors to ensure schedule accuracy and data integrity
  • Integrate subcontractor schedules into the IMS in compliance with EVMS requirements
  • Support proposal efforts through bid schedule development and timeline estimation
This is a primarily remote role, with occasional on-site support as needed.
This position description outlines the core duties for this role, but it is not all-inclusive. Responsibilities may shift based on contract requirements, mission needs, or organizational objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, project management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in EVM project scheduling for government, aerospace, defense, or complex technical programs.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling tools.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS principles, EIA‑748 guidelines, and schedule‑cost integration.
  • Experience supporting or participating in EVMS implementations, IBRs, or DCMA surveillance.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate schedule insights to diverse audiences.
Preferred
  • Experience with EVMS tools such as ForProject, Cora, or Empower
  • Experience supporting DoD, NASA, DOE, or other federal programs.
  • Certifications such as PMI-SP, PMP, AACE PSP, or AACE EVP.
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulation.
Why UNCOMN?
  • Instant Flexible PTO: Enjoy flexible paid time off starting your very first day with us!
  • Generous Holidays: Benefit from 7 paid holidays and up to 3 floating holidays annually.
  • Immediate Health Coverage: Get access to comprehensive health benefits from day one.
  • 401K Safe Harbor Match: Secure your future with our top-tier 401K matching program.
  • Growth Opportunities: Advance your career with our training and education assistance programs.
  • Free Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Access complimentary support services for you and your family.
Note: Benefits apply to full-time employees only.

Don’t meet every single requirement? We’re dedicated to building an uncommon, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
