This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to influence and enhance the mental wellness of students in a distinctive educational setting in West Palm Beach, Florida. Work Environment

This remote position offers flexibility while being integrated into a comprehensive community health clinic framework designed to support our students' psychological needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students, understanding personal histories, concerns, and risk factors to formulate effective interventions.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans in partnership with students, aimed at addressing mental health issues, enhancing emotional resilience, and facilitating a smooth integration into the school community.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, incorporating methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using specific examples and structured activities to promote personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies.
  • Engage in crisis intervention during periods of mental health emergencies, utilizing approved de-escalation techniques and referencing appropriate higher levels of care when necessary.
  • Deliver psychoeducation sessions to students and families, which play a crucial role in destigmatizing mental health issues and empowering them with knowledge about treatment options and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate, concise documentation of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to optimize treatment strategies and share insights that can enhance student outcomes.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines regarding mental health practices in school environments.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will focus on a diverse demographic of students exhibiting various mental health challenges, ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma-related distress. By engaging with students in a supportive manner, you will facilitate their emotional development and contribute significantly to their academic success and overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably focusing on mental health care within educational settings.
  • Profound understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and the principles of trauma-informed care.
  • Proven experience in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and creating appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Diverse therapeutic experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions across various age groups.
