About the Position
The Business Support Analyst receives system support issues and setup/configuration requests from internal and external end users. The Business Support Analyst is the first line of production support for all applications supporting finance and conducts comprehensive analyses to determine root cause, identify a solution or escalate to other business/IT teams, and collaborate to resolve and implement required changes
What You'll Do:
  • Provide level 1 and 2 support for all assigned software applications and determine impact and scope of issues and/or requests, provide solutions and/or escalate to assigned development teams.
  • Identify and analyze major issues in software support calls; provide management reports, recommended solutions and other required information.
  • Ensure adherence to internal audit and compliance controls, and complete periodic audits on all setup/configuration..
  • Perform system setup/configuration to support application and business requirements, maintain database integrity and security by providing user provisioning, password changes, and the termination of user access.
  • Oversee escalated transactional updates needed in the application to meet business needs; manage system interfaces to ensure all data is accounted for and reconciled on a routine basis.
  • Interact and communicate with project team members to support the successful delivery and implementation of system setup/configuration updates and modifications into production.
  • Participate in defining testing requirements, including regression, user acceptance and other tests as needed, staging data and perform final test execution to ensure the environment's stability when code changes are made.
  • Interface and develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers to understand and resolve production related requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

What You Bring to the Table:
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or technology related field or relevant work experience
  • One (1) year of experience in accounting/finance, operations and/or technology, including one (1) year of writing SQL queries
  • Two (2) years of experience in production system support

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with technologies that utilize various interfaces
• An understanding of the business and the information systems used to manage related information
• Experience in the Higher Education Industry
• An ability to provide suggestions which improve processes to support business results
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries
• An understanding of a financial application,
• Ability to periodically work nights, weekends and on call support
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Experience working with customers or in a customer service support role
• Strong business analysis, research, and problem solving skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy; ability to make effective decisions and solve problems with urgency

Pay Range
The annual pay range for this position is $49,000 (minimum), $71,700 (midpoint), and $94,400 (maximum).*
*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget. Compensation above the midpoint is generally associated with experienced, long-tenured employees who have demonstrated sustained performance and expertise in the role.
