Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Immigration Compliance Specialist for a remote position. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:

This role focuses on supporting international tech talent by managing employment-based nonimmigrant processes. The specialist will handle H-1B transfers, STEM OPT extensions, and CPT compliance, serving as a key point of contact for IT consultants and guiding them through visa options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather documents and data from H-1B, STEM OPT, and CPT candidates to provide to the Immigration Firm for processing
  • Serve as the main point of contact for tech consultants to answer immigration-related questions
  • Track timelines for students moving from CPT to STEM OPT, and from OPT to H-1B cap or transfer filings
  • Work alongside internal recruiters, account managers, and outside immigration counsel to ensure seamless status maintenance
  • Maintain accurate public access files and track work authorization expiration dates

Primary Requirements:

  • 2+ years as an immigration paralegal, ideally within an IT staffing firm or corporate legal environment
  • Deep familiarity with H-1B regulations, transfers, STEM OPT reporting rules, and CPT guidelines
  • Exceptional soft skills to explain complex legal timelines to busy tech professionals in plain terms
  • Strong detail orientation
