JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Geography in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking an Undergraduate Research Assistant. The URA position will be anywhere from 10-20 hours/week, and we can accommodate fewer work hours during the school year, and then a part-time (20 hours/week) position during the summer months.

Job duties for the successful candidate will include the following:

Assist with survey data entry and quality control (surveys are in Spanish).
Transcribe interview audio data to text (audio and text files are in Spanish).
Conduct data analysis, which will include qualitative thematic coding.
Other administrative tasks as assigned/needed to support project goals.

Native or advanced fluency in Spanish and experience with Microsoft Office is highly desired.
