• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Complete required documentation accurately and punctually, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools recommended by our clinical team to provide effective treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support strategies for clients.
• Engage actively in licensing and accreditation processes to maintain program standards and ethical practices.
• Serve as a liaison for clients with local service systems, government agencies, and community partners to enhance access to care.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels to uphold organizational contracts and enhance community involvement.
• Develop professional relationships with local, state, and federal groups to advocate for mental health programs and secure funding opportunities.
• Seek out personal and professional development opportunities, such as conferences and training related to clinical expertise.
• Promote and embody the organization’s mission, values, and principles in all interactions.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by the Clinic Director to support organizational objectives.

The mental health counselor will work primarily with a diverse range of clients facing various challenges such as mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, and developmental disabilities. Your role will be vital in fostering recovery and resilience in these individuals, allowing them to navigate their paths to wellness and fulfillment.

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required for this position.
• An independent LMHC License issued by the state board is necessary.
• Strong ability to maintain clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Proven capacity to effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions based on professional knowledge.

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those with developmental differences and mental health challenges.
• Familiarity with community resources and mental health service systems in Seattle and surrounding areas.
• Previous involvement in advocacy and program development.
