Serenity Peaks Mental and Behavioral Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, allowing for comprehensive understanding and individualized care plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual and family therapy tailored to the specific needs of clients, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including therapy notes, treatment plans, and billing information, adhering to specified time frames to ensure efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop crisis response and safety plans as necessary, ensuring clients have a structured approach to manage potential emergencies.
  • Design individualized discharge and stabilization plans that promote lasting mental health maintenance and positive outcomes.
  • Stay updated on federal and state regulations, company policies, and best practices to maintain professional competency and compliance.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and agency meetings to foster team collaboration and share best practices.
  • Complete all licensure and mandatory training required by state standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a range of mental health challenges. Clients may present with anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship issues. Our emphasis is on providing culturally competent care that respects the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field that leads to licensure.
  • Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (i.e., LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) in the State of Washington.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working in outpatient mental health settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
  • Experience in managing documentation and billing processes efficiently.
