What is a remote software trainer?

A Remote Software Trainer is a professional who educates individuals or groups on how to use specific software applications or systems, working entirely online rather than in a traditional classroom setting. They develop training materials, conduct live virtual sessions, and provide support to ensure users understand and can efficiently use the software. These trainers may work for software companies, training firms, or as independent consultants, and they leverage video conferencing, screen sharing, and other digital tools to deliver their instruction.

What does a remote software trainer do?

A remote software trainer teaches employees of an organization on how to use a new or updated program using an online interface. In this role, you work from home to conduct training in a virtual classroom where you demonstrate the features of a software application to groups of varied sizes. Your duties also involve assessing the knowledge of the workforce to optimize the process and evaluating their progress. Other responsibilities focus on answering questions the staff has and making recommendations for additional content. Remote training offers myriad advantages for both employers and you as the trainer in flexibility and affordability.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote software trainer?

To thrive as a Remote Software Trainer, you need a deep understanding of the software being taught, instructional design skills, and experience in adult learning principles, often backed by a degree in education or IT. Familiarity with virtual training platforms (like Zoom or Microsoft Teams), learning management systems (LMS), and relevant software certifications is typically required. Strong communication, patience, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for effectively engaging diverse learners in a remote environment. These abilities ensure clear knowledge transfer, high learner satisfaction, and successful adoption of software tools.

What are some common challenges faced by remote software trainers, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Software Trainers often encounter challenges such as engaging participants in a virtual environment and troubleshooting technical issues during live sessions. To overcome these, trainers can leverage interactive tools like polls and breakout rooms to foster participation, and prepare contingency plans for common technical problems. Additionally, clear communication and regular check-ins with learners help ensure everyone stays on track and feels supported throughout the training.

Business Analyst

Business Analysis | Process Improvement | Requirements Gathering | Data Analysis | Agile | SDLC | Stakeholder Management

Do you enjoy turning business needs into clear, actionable requirements that drive meaningful business outcomes?

Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can improve processes, solve complex business challenges, and support successful project delivery?

About the Role

Conduent is seeking a Business Analyst to help drive business process improvement, operational efficiency, and technology-enabled solutions across the organization. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leaders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across both business and technical environments. This position plays an important role in supporting process improvements, system enhancements, project execution, and data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements from stakeholders across departments.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, discovery sessions, and process reviews to understand current workflows, business challenges, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Translate business needs into clear documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, workflow diagrams, process maps, and other project artifacts.

  • Analyze data, trends, metrics, and business performance indicators to support recommendations, decision-making, and process optimization efforts.

  • Identify process gaps, operational bottlenecks, business risks, and automation opportunities, and recommend practical solutions that align with organizational goals.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including business users, software developers, quality assurance teams, product teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure alignment on project scope, requirements, and successful delivery.

  • Support project planning activities, impact assessments, feasibility analysis, risk identification, and change management initiatives.

  • Define acceptance criteria, assist with test case reviews, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, and validate that delivered solutions meet documented business requirements.

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, status updates, and executive summaries for stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Assist with implementation activities, end-user training, go-live support, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, systems analysis, or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.

  • Experience gathering requirements and creating clear, comprehensive project and business documentation.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence, or similar business analysis and project management platforms.

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of billing and invoicing.
