Job description

Apogee Global RMS is seeking a hands-on, versatile IT Infrastructure Support Engineer who can provide end-user support, manage systems, and maintain network infrastructure. This role combines IT support, systems administration, and network operations-perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping systems running smoothly, and owning IT operations end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. IT Support & Helpdesk
    • Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
    • Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and application issues
    • Set up, configure, and maintain user accounts, email, and access permissions
    • Respond to tickets, document issues, and ensure timely resolution
    • Support onboarding/offboarding of employees (devices, accounts, access)
  2. Systems Administration
    • Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and workstations
    • Manage Active Directory, user/group policies, and permissions
    • Monitor system performance, backups, patches, and updates
    • Maintain virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V or similar)
    • Ensure security best practices, antivirus, patching, and access controls
    • Document systems, procedures, and configurations
  3. Network Administration
    • Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi
    • Monitor network performance, uptime, and security
    • Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
    • Manage VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and basic firewall rules
    • Assist with network upgrades, expansions, and improvements

Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in IT support, systems administration, or network administration (or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of: Windows (and/or Linux) environments ; Active Directory, user management, and permissions and Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Familiarity with virtualization, backups, and basic security practices
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or Cisco
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation
  • Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience in a growing or fast-paced IT environment
