We’re hiring a full-time Construction Services Manager for our Multifamily Housing Division.

As the Construction Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of projects that contribute to our mission. In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on NH Housing’s Design and Construction Policy Rules and Standards, providing strategic guidance to developers and external partners to ensure compliance and high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of multifamily construction policies and proposed rules, driving consistency, quality, and alignment across all projects.
  • Partner with Development staff and external stakeholders to conduct early-stage project reviews, shaping project feasibility and guiding the construction bidding process.
  • Manage the selection and oversight of third-party inspectors, ensuring thorough plan reviews and property inspections while effectively resolving conflicts between inspectors and development partners.
  • Collaborate proactively with Development staff throughout the construction requisition process, identifying and resolving issues quickly to keep projects moving forward.

To support onboarding and training, the initial months of employment will be conducted primarily in-office. Following this period, remote work may be available on an intermittent basis, as determined by the manager.

Your experience, skills, and education should include:

  • Detailed knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts and construction administration.
  • Knowledge of construction cost estimating practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Familiarity with building and life safety codes.
  • Ability to establish, monitor, and maintain a team of external construction inspection service providers.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and ability to learn new software systems as needed.
  • Nine years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in construction-related field.
