Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will play a vital role in our organization by:

  • Conducting in-depth clinical assessments for individuals, taking into account their emotional and psychological needs to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's situation.
  • Implementing a range of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidenced-based modalities appropriate for hospice patients.
  • Documenting clinical interactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
  • Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive and coordinated patient care.
  • Participating in case consultations and peer reviews to enhance the delivery of therapeutic services and promote best practices within our team.
  • Providing education and resources to patients and their families regarding mental health challenges and available treatment options to navigate their unique circumstances.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field to integrate innovative practices into your therapeutic work.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring that all treatment goals are met promptly and adhering to ethical standards set forth by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily support clients facing terminal illnesses and their families, addressing a range of mental health needs that arise during the hospice journey. You will help individuals cope with anticipatory grief, anxiety, and existential concerns, providing them with tools and support to enhance their emotional resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.
  • A minimum of three yearsโ€™ experience in clinical settings, particularly focused on psychotherapy services.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic methods and a commitment to employing solution-focused interventions.
