Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to thoroughly understand clients' mental health needs, concerns, and goals.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress, employing techniques suited to individual needs.
• Facilitate couples and family therapy sessions designed to improve relationship dynamics, enhance communication, and resolve family conflicts effectively.
• Craft personalized treatment plans that set clear objectives and interventions that are responsive to each client's specific circumstances.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health issues.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health disorders, effective coping mechanisms, and additional resources for ongoing support.
• Manage accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards, including proper documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements, ensuring client confidentiality and informed consent throughout the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families from various cultural backgrounds. The majority of our clients seek assistance for challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, relational issues, and life transition challenges. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients toward increased self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthier coping strategies.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated clinical experience and proficiency in delivering therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish rapport and trust with clients.
• A deep sense of empathy and understanding, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and care.
• A commitment to ethical standards and practices within the counseling profession.
• Awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity in client needs and values.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth counseling or remote service delivery is highly desirable.
• Practical knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 95,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
