Job description

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Senior and Long Term Care Division.

The Program Manager will provide administrative oversight and coordination of grant-funded activities related to the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) goals by ensuring sustainable, equitable funding for facilities serving residents with diverse and often complex clinical needs. This position serves as the primary Division Liaison for RHTP and will also coordinate efforts related to the Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) Program and Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR).

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

  • General knowledge of Medicaid and medical terminology.

  • Knowledge of public health program management principles and practices.

  • General knowledge of federal and state laws related to grants and contracts.

  • Meet minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in human services, public administration, health education, health sciences, or other behavioral or social science related field.

    •  Two years of job-related public health program experience including contracts and direct training experience.

    • Experience writing, and managing grants preferred.

    • Other combinations of directly related education and experience, including long term care experience, may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
