Job Title: AI Engineer Location: Chantilly, VA Type: Direct Hire / Perm Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI with a CI Poly We are recruiting for an experienced AI Engineer to lead AI solutions, work on development, collaborate with pipeline development and deployment teams. The teams are involved in the deployment and maintenance of multiple operational cloud deployed software technologies and solutions. We are looking for a motivated AI engineer to solve challenging problems in a variety of Sea based systems to get results that surpass the outcomes achieved with new AI technologies, capabilities and features. Responsibilities:

  • Strong collaboration with team’s in the design and implementation of AI architectures to include operational status, coding improvements, dashboard tooling including security.
  • Collaborates with Leidos AI initiatives, providing insight into technologies, tooling and practices.
  • Designs, secures and automates AWS cloud initiatives while optimizing agent and customer experiences to full AI potential.
  • Optimize and enhance customer experiences, enhancing software development flows, quality metrics, KPIs, and Dashboards with AI.
  • Provides broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and applies experience/knowledge to cloud initiatives relating to architectural design and development.
  • Leads team’s to deploy and configure services with AI tools
Core Qualifications:
  • Requires BS degree (Computer Science, Engineering or related field) and 10+ year’s of prior relevant experience OR, MS with 7+ year’s of prior relevant experience; OR 7 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
  • 7+ year’s experience leading, designing and implementing distributed solutions and 5+ year’s experience with cloud-based solutions (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) including virtualization environment, network and operating system experience
  • Experience in Cloud and PaaS environments
  • Subject Matter Expertise understanding across various AI technologies
  • Familiar with the following: Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Python, Gitlab, CloudFormation, Zabbix, ACAS, PostgreSQL, Scrum, Kanban, Terraform
  • Knowledge of SDLC and AGILE best practices
  • Windows Domain Administrator of user accounts and group policy objects and Linux administration
  • Proactive leader demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt to new AI technologies and learn quickly
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional planning and prioritizing work, follow tasks to their logical conclusion and ensure everything has been correctly satisfied to standard. Great attention to detail.
  • Communications: Excellent communication with team members, clients, customers or other stakeholders verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.
  • Must possess and maintain a TS Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI with a CI Poly
  • DoD 8570 Certification Compliance (IAT Level 2/3)
  • Familiar with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of SFH organization; Sea data and mission
  • Experience with NGA cloud-based architecture
  • AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Machine Learning
  • Experience with IC Cloud Architecture implementation methodologies
  • Native cloud templating services like AWS Cloud Formation
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and projects
