AWS Cloud Platform Engineer 100% remote Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required, along with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance W2 employment only NO C2C Responsibilities: โ€ข Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platform environments across AWS Platform. โ€ข Develop and maintain cloud platform services and landing zones, including networking, identity, compute, and storage components. โ€ข Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar tools to automate infrastructure provisioning. โ€ข Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and platform automation frameworks to support consistent, repeatable deployments. โ€ข Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to onboard workloads and define platform standards, guardrails, and best practices. โ€ข Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, cost, and reliability using observability tools for logs, metrics, and tracing. โ€ข Implement and enforce security and compliance controls aligned with federal standards, including NIST and FedRAMP. โ€ข Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including rehost, re-platform, and re-architect efforts. โ€ข Develop reusable platform modules, templates, and self-service capabilities for engineering teams. โ€ข Document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. Requirements: โ€ข U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required, along with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance. โ€ข Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience in AWS cloud platform engineering โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree required; four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. โ€ข Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep. โ€ข Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools. โ€ข Knowledge of cloud networking fundamentals, including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, and security groups. โ€ข Experience with container platforms and tools such as Kubernetes and Docker. โ€ข Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. โ€ข Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
