Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team at Sea of Hope Counseling Center. This full-time role, operating in a remote capacity, offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will undertake a variety of responsibilities that are central to our mission of improving client health outcomes, such as:

  • Conducting initial intake interviews and thorough psychosocial assessments to determine each client’s emotional, psychological, and developmental needs.
  • Administering brief therapeutic interventions and crisis evaluations to address immediate client concerns, providing a safe space for exploration.
  • Facilitating individual and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients in meeting their treatment goals.
  • Engaging in phone triage with patients, directing them to appropriate resources and referrals based on their specific circumstances.
  • Continuously developing and revising treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with the latest standards of practice and addressing their uniquely identified goals.
  • Participating in team meetings and safety programs, including potential assignments to emergency response teams, to ensure a well-organized approach to mental health crises.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population in terms of age, cultural background, and socio-economic status, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The LMFT will cater to individuals presenting mild to moderate mental health conditions, while also being equipped to recognize when referrals for clients with more severe mental illnesses are necessary. This breadth of client interaction not only enhances therapeutic skills but also deepens understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • An active and valid LMFT license to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and multitasking abilities to effectively navigate the demands of a diverse caseload.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills that foster connection with clients and colleagues alike.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in all client interactions.
Preferred Experience
