This position operates in a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing you to engage with clients via secure digital platforms. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral needs from the initial consultation through the entirety of their treatment journey.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations to understand clients' psychological health and develop customized recovery and intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging and goal-oriented therapy sessions both individually and in group formats to foster personal growth and healing.
• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and therapeutic feedback.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to create holistic intervention strategies for clients.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges, supporting clients in navigating their mental health journeys.
• Provide guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers to assist in managing their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you'll support a diverse group of clients facing various mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to family conflicts and addiction disorders. Our client base includes individuals from different age groups and backgrounds, providing you with the opportunity to use a variety of therapeutic techniques that cater to each client's unique situation.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure, such as LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW, in the state of Illinois.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for documenting client interactions and treatment plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with clients.

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor or therapist in a clinical setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to streamline client management.
• Empirical knowledge of best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• A strong understanding of the impact of physical health and medication on mental health.
