As a remote Mental Health Counselor, you will work within an innovative and collaborative virtual environment. Our outpatient practice utilizes state-of-the-art electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to enhance service delivery and streamline documentation processes. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document detailed cases from initial consultation through treatment completion.
  • Assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform individualized treatment approaches.
  • Craft tailored intervention and recovery plans catering to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor and document client progress consistently, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including doctors and social workers, to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
  • A strong ethical foundation demonstrated through a pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling, preferably within an outpatient or clinical setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and commitment to maintaining accurate and compliant documentation.
  • Knowledge of addiction disorders and co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.
  • Familiarity with the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
