Position Overview

Inner Calm Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) to join our team in Brockton, Massachusetts. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and well-being of our clients. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations, crafting precise treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to understand client needs and document all relevant information from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.
  • Perform detailed evaluations of clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to determine the best treatment strategies.
  • Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on comprehensive assessments.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor and track client progress throughout the treatment plan, adapting strategies as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention plans.
  • Follow up with healthcare providers regarding clients who are admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Implement strategies to identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery.
  • Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them navigate mental health challenges effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The individuals you will work with comprise a diverse demographic, including children, teens, adults, and families facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Whether clients are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction issues, your role is crucial in delivering compassionate and effective mental health support tailored to their unique situations. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW within the state of Massachusetts.
  • A passing score on the NCE and/or the NCMHCE examinations.
  • Prior experience working as a mental health counselor.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient case management and documentation.
  • Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and methodologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven experience working with diverse populations and addressing various psychological and behavioral health conditions.
  • Strong understanding of the interplay between physical health, emotional well-being, and addiction disorders.
  • Expertise in how prescribed medications can affect mental health treatment and recovery processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients and their families.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
