Overview

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)*  is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Salesforce Admin/Business Analyst, Functional Lead to play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing WFAA’s CRM ecosystem. This position will focus on identifying, evaluating, and implementing innovative solutions within the Salesforce platform. As a leader, you will develop and enforce best practices for Salesforce administration and business analysis, increase operational efficiency, challenge the status quo, empower team members and users, and ensure data stewardship.

You will be responsible for training and mentoring members of the Salesforce CRM Administration team while contributing to the overall success of the CRM ecosystem. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions that improve business processes, enhance user experience, and drive efficiency.

We can hire this role 100% remote for the right experience level.  Remote candidates must reside in the following states to be considered: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Lead:

  •  Play a lead role in the identification, evaluation, and implementation of new solutions for the WFAA Salesforce platform, including upgrades, 3rd party products, and customizations.
  • Collaborate with architects, tech admins, and implementation partners on roadmap projects and solutioning.
  • Oversee and coordinate external consultants or resources as needed.
  • Train and develop Salesforce CRM Administration team, technical teams, and key stakeholders on core Salesforce functionality and data.
  • Facilitate decision-making on UX design and solution implementation, aligning with the Digital Roadmap team, 4WARD Product Owner and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Lead select business functions and affiliated tools (e.g., Initium, Apsona) in collaboration with the 4WARD Product Owner.
  • Evaluate business challenges and recommend strategic solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to understand their needs, create solutions, and ensure system performance.
  • Provide input on vendor product roadmaps and stay current with new Salesforce functionality and industry trends.
  • Design, test, and document custom solutions, data migrations, and integrations.
  • Ensure database security and maintain documentation on procedures, triggers, workflows, and end-user guides.

  

Salesforce CRM Administration :

  •  Support WFAA Salesforce environment by performing regular Salesforce administrative functions such as defining user roles, managing existing users, updating page layouts, making configuration changes, creating, and modifying workflows and automations, developing custom objects, etc.
  • Support creation of Salesforce reports and dashboards.
  • Use data loading tools to add data or mass update records in Salesforce.
  • Work with other technical teams to design and test integrations with third party systems and data sources.
  • Assist in data integration and data cleansing efforts to ensure accurate and reliable data across the platform.
  • Provide user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Salesforce-related inquiries, collaborating closely with end-users to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Maintain approved Salesforce security model and ensure it adheres to organizational policy and goals related to information security, privacy and risk management, and industry regulations such as PCI, HIPAA, FERPA, etc.

 Business Analysis: 

  • Develop and implement business analysis guidelines and processes to ensure team efficiency, effective solution design, and optimized business functionality, in collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Set project strategies, including scoping, success criteria, and implementation plans; hand off execution to team members as needed.
  • Build rapport with end users and gain in-depth business knowledge to develop effective solutions.
  • Document functional requirements through use cases, business requirement documents, and user stories; assist with evaluating and completing functional requests.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, technical teams, and business leads to align testing strategies with business needs and ensure successful implementation.
  • Establish and enforce best practices and standards for solution design and implementation.
  • Design test plans and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Assist in developing system training and documentation for end users.
  • Ensure team efforts align with primary business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze business requirements, identify areas for system improvement, and collaborate with users to develop solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2- or 4-year degree in a related technical or business field
  • 3 years’ experience as a Salesforce Administrator
  • 5+ years’ experience in higher education advancement, development, or related field OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
  • Well-versed in Salesforce CRM eco-system, including integrations, custom solutions, objects, workflow rules, Process Builder, validation rules, security and more.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • Basic understanding of human centered design used to improve user experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly.
  • Organized and skilled in project management, able to keep multiple projects or tasks on track and prioritized.
