What is Remote Salesforce Support?

Remote Salesforce Support refers to professional assistance provided by experts to help organizations manage, troubleshoot, and optimize their Salesforce platform from a remote location. These support specialists resolve technical issues, customize Salesforce features, and provide guidance on best practices without needing to be physically present at the client's office. This service can include user training, integration help, system updates, and ongoing maintenance to ensure Salesforce runs smoothly and efficiently for the business.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in a Remote Salesforce Support role, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Salesforce Support professionals often encounter challenges such as troubleshooting complex user issues without direct physical access to users’ devices, managing multiple support requests simultaneously, and staying updated on frequent Salesforce updates and features. To address these challenges, it’s helpful to maintain strong communication with users through clear documentation and regular check-ins, leverage screen sharing and remote access tools for efficient problem-solving, and participate in ongoing Salesforce training or certification programs. Collaboration with other IT and Salesforce teams is also crucial for resolving escalated issues and sharing best practices.

This role will support the design, configuration, and development of Salesforce solutions that enhance business operations and customer engagement across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will work in an Agile environment to develop scalable solutions using Salesforce declarative features while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career Salesforce professional to expand their experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud (Communities), and Knowledge while contributing to mission-critical federal healthcare initiatives.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud (Communities), and Knowledge.
  • Configure and manage Salesforce security using Profiles, Permission Sets, Organization-Wide Defaults (OWD), roles, and sharing rules.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions to support operational and management reporting.
  • Perform data imports, exports, updates, and migrations using Data Loader and the Data Import Wizard.
  • Develop and enhance business processes using Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, formulas, assignment rules, workflows, and email alerts.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, contribute to technical design documentation, and develop clean, maintainable code following established coding standards.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and configuring Salesforce applications.
  • Experience administering Salesforce, including user management, queues, public groups, object customization, record types, fields, page layouts, apps, tabs, and list views.
  • Experience deploying Salesforce solutions using Change Sets, ANT Migration Tool, or similar deployment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce development best practices, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and cloud computing concepts.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional Agile team.

Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with declarative Salesforce development, including Lightning Flow, validation rules, workflows, and approval processes.
  • Familiarity with Apex, Apex Triggers, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), or Aura Components.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I are preferred.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal government agencies is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Benefits
  • Medical/Dental/Vision.
