• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses to evaluate patients’ mental health status, utilizing established tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to create tailored care plans.
• Continuously monitor and assess patients’ progress, implementing appropriate interventions and therapeutic strategies to align with their mental health diagnoses.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive and accurate treatment records utilizing current technology tools, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and departmental protocols.
• Collaborate closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to develop holistic treatment plans that address individual patient needs and desired outcomes, ensuring an inclusive approach that respects cultural diversity.
• Proactively identify safety considerations and symptom reduction strategies, showing sensitivity to patient circumstances and family dynamics throughout the care process.
• Facilitate referrals and act as a liaison between patients and additional treatment providers, establishing effective communication channels for enhanced patient support.
• Engage in educational initiatives, providing mentorship and guidance to interns, students, and volunteers interested in mental health practices.
• Support your colleagues by participating in peer reviews and collaborative meetings as directed by your clinical supervisor, focusing on best practices and professional development.

You will work primarily with individuals facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological disorders, within the culturally diverse population of Fresno and surrounding areas. Your role will be critical in addressing unique challenges posed by socio-economic issues and facilitating access to care for underserved communities. The clinic’s commitment to individualized care ensures that your effort contributes to long-term improvements in patient outcomes and overall community well-being.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program, alongside a current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as per California regulations.
• In-depth understanding of human development, aging processes, and cultural competencies critical to delivering effective therapeutic care.
• Possession of strong clinical skills and previous experience working with diverse patient populations in health or mental health settings.

• Prior experience ranging from six months to one year in a clinical environment, particularly within community health settings, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities and an ability to integrate these approaches into practice.
• Experience working within a virtual or telehealth setting is a plus, enhancing your adaptability to digital care platform dynamics.
