Job Summary:
The Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring the effective governance, oversight, and maintenance of Humana's IT configuration items, systems, and environments. This role supports the integrity and security of enterprise assets through accurate configuration tracking, change management, and compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

You must be authorized to work in the US without Humana sponsorship as Humana will not provide work visa sponsorship at any point in time for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Humana's Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring all assets, systems, and configurations are accurately recorded, tracked, and updated throughout their lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes and procedures to ensure accurate tracking of IT assets and system components throughout their lifecycle.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of configuration items to identify discrepancies, unauthorized changes, or compliance gaps, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to incident and problem management processes by providing accurate configuration data for root cause analysis and impact assessments.
  • Document and maintain configuration management procedures, policies, standards (including naming, versioning, and baselining), and control narratives.
  • Work closely with project and operations teams to ensure that configuration data supports business needs and project delivery.
  • Generate and distribute configuration management reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving configuration discrepancies, collaborating with relevant technical teams as needed.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training and awareness initiatives related to configuration management best practices, risk, and security.
  • Support IT asset management by maintaining accurate relationships between assets, configurations, and their dependencies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to configuration management tools, processes, and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT configuration management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
  • CIS - Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM)
  • Prior exposure to third-party risk management or cybersecurity programs in a healthcare or highly regulated environment.
