Job Overview:
The Risk Management Director directly reports to the Senior Vice President of Performance & Risk Management. The Risk Management Director will be responsible for leading and advancing the organization's Risk Management programs. This role identifies, assesses, and monitors strategic, operational, financial and regulatory risks that could impact enterprise performance. The Risk Management Director will lead critical risk initiatives and partners with functional leaders throughout the company to drive risk-mitigating activities and act as an advisor to facilitate risk-informed decision making.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement simplified company-wide business continuity programs based on priorities of the company
  • Lead the execution of the risk m itigation programs in alignment with organizational priorities
  • Enhance and lead the company enterprise risk management program including working closely with the Executive Risk Counsel and related subcommittees
  • Develop and implement practical, data-driven risk management strategies based on emerging risks, business needs or loss trends
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and risk trends to identify exposures and drive targeted risk mitigation initiatives
  • Establish national policies and procedures governing due diligence and ongoing compliance requirements surrounding third-party service providers
  • Proactively identify emerging risks and advise senior and executive leadership, partnering with the business to prioritize and address key risk areas
  • Build and maintain risk metrics, reporting, and dashboards to provide clear visibility into risk performance and support decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policies and controls that mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks
  • Deliver risk training and awareness initiatives to strengthen a proactive risk culture across the organization
  • Conduct investigations of incidents, complaints, and risk events in partnership with operations and internal control teams

Education & Experience :
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
  • Professional certifications such as CRMA, CERM, CPA, CFE, CIA, or similar strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in risk management, internal audit, finance, or a related discipline

Knowledge, Skills, & Proficiencies:
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing risk mitigation programs, including data analysis, KPI development, and risk reporting/dashboarding (ERM experience preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior and executive leadership on risk-related matters
  • Experience working both independently and cross-functionally, with the ability to operate effectively as a hands-on individual contributor and project lead
  • Advanced data analysis capabilities, including working with multiple data sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, with working knowledge of SQL
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Project, Visio and a data analysis tool such as IDEA.

Travel:
Travel is required approximately 10-25%
