Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address specific mental health challenges.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, case managers, and social workers, to coordinate integrated care and enhance treatment efficacy.
• Offer psychoeducation and support to families, guiding them in understanding mental health issues and their impacts on family dynamics and recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while upholding ethical standards in documentation and practice.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending regular training sessions and workshops specific to mental health advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will include individuals dealing with chronic illness, grief, and loss, particularly within the hospice care environment. You will play a crucial role in supporting these individuals through their emotional complexities as they navigate the end-of-life process, providing comfort, guidance, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling, including specialized training or significant practical experience.
• Solid understanding of evidence-based practices to effectively address a variety of mental health disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish rapport and motivate clients throughout their recovery process.
• Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on hospice or palliative care.
• Experience utilizing teletherapy platforms effectively to engage clients remotely.
• Knowledge and proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client record management.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and education level.
