Duties
Help
  • Serves as an expert senior analyst and advisor to the TFP BL regarding comprehensive financial/financial management program requirements and services.
  • Prepares and presents budget justifications to internal and external stakeholders, defending funding requests and articulating the impact of funding levels on program outcomes.
  • Reviews and assesses legislation, Executive Orders, OMB and Treasury directives and guidelines, proposed policy changes and analyzes the impact of policy and/or legislative proposals on TFP BL financial/financial management and budgetary operations.
  • Participates in the planning, creation, review, and assessment of automated financial/financial management and budgeting systems supporting the TFP BL.
  • Conducts high visibility projects and complex analytical reviews/studies regarding TFP financial/financial management operations and services.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: monitoring and/or assisting in compilation of workforce spend plans and budget projections, analyzing staffing levels and workforce trends to forecast future organizational needs; or conducting analytical studies on financial and organizational operations to recommend program improvements; or developing, monitoring, and leveraging performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
